Why use Gtechniq Bike Ceramic?

Bike Ceramic is a ceramic coating that creates a dense layer of protection on your entire bike. This bike ceramic coat bonds chemically to painted surfaces, carbon fibre, titanium frame materials, and carbon fork components, providing up to 24 months of protection against brake dust, road grime, and dirt.

The coating forms an optically clear, hydrophobic coating that prevents contamination from bonding to the bike frame. This makes ongoing maintenance faster and easier. Bike Ceramic is resistant from pH2 to pH12, so mud and grime wash off with minimal effort. It also works on gloss finish, matte finish, and matte coat frames without altering the original appearance.

Simple steps to help you get the best results

  • Shake bottle well before use and ensure all surfaces have been thoroughly washed and dried
  • For best results, clean the bike frame with Bike Clean first
  • Apply Frame Prep to an MF1 microfibre cloth and wipe down the frame and components being coated
  • Apply Bike Ceramic to the applicator pad and coat the frame evenly
  • Leave the coating for 30 seconds, then remove residue with a clean microfibre
  • Allow to cure for 24 hours in a cool, dry place
  • Do not wash for 7 days after application

What frame materials can I use Bike Ceramic on?

Bike Ceramic works on all frame materials including carbon fibre, aluminum, steel, and titanium. It can also be applied to painted surfaces, paint protection film, vinyl wraps, and clear coat finishes. The coating preserves both gloss finish and matte finish appearances.

Do I need to do paint correction before applying?

For best results, your bike frame should be clean and free of contamination. If your frame has swirl marks or micro scratches you want to address, polish the frame first. For new bikes or frames in good condition, a thorough cleaning with Bike Clean and the included Frame Prep is sufficient.

How long does the protection last?

Bike Ceramic provides up to 24 months of protection. Durability depends on riding conditions and how often you wash your bike. For maintenance between applications, use Ceramic Quick Coat to refresh hydrophobic properties.

Can I apply this to wheels and components?

Yes. Bike Ceramic can be applied to the entire bike including wheels, fork, handlebars, and other components. Avoid applying to brake surfaces, tire rubber, or drivetrain components.

Will this protect against stone chips?

Bike Ceramic provides ceramic protection against dirt, road grime, and minor abrasion. While the coating adds a protective layer to your frame, it is not designed to prevent impact damage from stone chips. For riders concerned about high-impact areas, paint protection film can be applied underneath Bike Ceramic for added defense.

We want you to be happy with every product. Unopened products in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days with your receipt or order confirmation for a refund or exchange.

Because of the nature of our products, opened chemicals, soaps, and coatings are final sale. Towels, brushes, pads, and accessories must be unused and in resalable condition. Class enrollments and store credit are non-refundable but can be transferred to a future class. Received something damaged? Contact us within 7 days and we will make it right.
