Students will meet their instructor(s) and introduce themselves to the class.

Best Practices for Detailers

Instructor(s) will review standard operating procedures that professional detailers use for any matte vehicle that enters their shop.

Chemicals, Tools & Techniques for Matte Finish Care

Instructor(s) will explain how matte finishes work and guide students through matte-safe chemicals and detailing techniques.

Matte Finish Washing: Prepping For and Maintaining Ceramic Coatings

Instructor(s) will guide students through the process of preparing a matte vehicle for ceramic coating via decontamination and washing. Instructor(s) will also cover maintenance washing to preserve the coating after application.

Matte Ceramic Coating Application

Instructor(s) will guide students through two different methods for applying a matte ceramic coating — an express application while washing and a professional-style two-person application.

Ceramic Coatings for Matte Paint Protection Film & Vinyl Wraps

Instructor(s) will guide students through the process of applying a ceramic coating designed specifically for matte vinyl & PPF.

Matte Wheel Care & Protection

Instructor(s) will guide students through the process of cleaning and protecting matte or satin wheels.

Matte LSPs (Last Step Processes)

Instructor(s) will cover tire dressings, drying aids and spray ceramic coatings designed for matte finishes.

Matte Finish Maintenance

Instructor(s) will guide students through the process of washing a matte finish vehicle with both a two bucket method and a waterless wash method to maintain the ceramic coating.

Graduation

Students will receive their matte certification.
